Burned Out or On Edge: How Energy Healing Helps You Reset

2/11/2026

Picture
A quiet moment of rest and reflection.
You don’t have to feel anxious, overwhelmed, or in crisis to be burned out.

Many people live in a constant state of on. Getting things done. Showing up. Holding it together. On the surface, life looks fine. But underneath, there is a steady hum of tension. A feeling of being keyed up, stretched thin, or unable to fully relax, even when there is finally time to rest.

This kind of exhaustion doesn’t always announce itself loudly. It can show up as irritability, emotional flatness, trouble sleeping, shallow breathing, or a nervous system that never quite powers down. You may not even have a clear story for why you feel this way. You just know that something feels off.

This is one of the most common reasons people seek out energy healing. Not because something is “wrong,” but because their system has been carrying too much for too long.

What “On Edge” Really Means

Being on edge doesn’t always mean stress in the traditional sense. Often, it is the result of prolonged emotional load, responsibility, caregiving, vigilance, or simply moving through life without enough space to truly settle.

The nervous system does not need a single traumatic event to become overwhelmed. It responds to accumulation. Ongoing demands. Subtle pressures. The expectation to keep going.

Over time, the body adapts by staying alert. Muscles remain slightly braced. Breathing stays shallow. The system prioritizes getting through the day over restoring itself. Eventually, this state begins to feel normal, even though it isn’t sustainable.

Why Rest Alone Often Isn’t Enough

Many people try to rest their way out of burnout. They sleep more. Take time off. Slow down when they can.

And while rest is essential, it doesn’t always signal safety to a nervous system that has learned to stay on guard. You might lie down and still feel restless. You might sleep and wake up feeling unchanged. You might want to relax, but notice that your body doesn’t follow.

This isn’t a failure. It’s a sign that the body needs support in shifting out of constant alert and into a state where regulation and repair can happen naturally.

How Energy Healing Supports a Reset

Energy healing works gently and non-invasively, supporting the body and nervous system without requiring effort, explanation, or emotional processing.

Many people experience energy healing as a sense of settling. Breathing deepens. The body feels heavier or more grounded. Thoughts slow. There is often a feeling of spaciousness where tension used to live.

This happens as the nervous system begins to move out of constant activation and into a state where it feels safe enough to release. Nothing is forced. The body is simply given the conditions it needs to regulate itself.

Energy healing does not override your system. It supports what your body already knows how to do when it no longer has to stay on guard.

What People Often Notice After a Session

Experiences vary, but common responses include:
• A sense of calm that feels natural rather than sedating
• Deeper or more relaxed breathing
• Improved sleep or a different quality of rest
• Feeling more present in the body
• Emotional release that feels gentle and manageable
• A subtle but noticeable shift in how stress is held

Some people notice changes immediately. Others feel them unfold over the following days. Both are normal.

Energy healing works in layers, meeting your system where it is rather than pushing for dramatic results.

Is This the Right Time for Energy Healing?

Energy healing may be supportive if you:
• Feel constantly “on” or unable to fully relax
• Are functioning but exhausted
• Want support without having to explain everything
• Feel disconnected from your body or inner calm
• Are open to gentle, non-invasive healing

If you are in acute emotional crisis or need immediate support, additional resources may be more appropriate first. Energy healing is not a substitute for emergency or crisis care, but it can be a powerful complement when your system is ready for regulation and restoration.

Ready to Feel More Settled?

You don’t have to wait until you are completely depleted to seek support.

Bearing Witness: Reflections from the Walk for Peace

1/31/2026

Picture
A moment I captured as the monks approached their Liberty stop along the Walk for Peace.
From the moment I learned about the Walk for Peace and that it would be coming through North Carolina, I felt a pull to support it and to be present. Not to participate in the walk itself, but to stand nearby. To witness. To be in the field of what was being carried forward step by step.

The Walk for Peace is a 120-day, 2,300-mile journey on foot from Fort Worth, Texas, to Washington, D.C. Led by Buddhist monks, the walk is an offering of peace, mindfulness, and inner reflection carried across the country through sustained, embodied practice.
What surprised me first was the pace.

Despite the quiet presence they carry, the monks move quickly and with purpose. They average three to four miles per hour, covering between twenty and thirty miles each day. This includes stops for lunch and dinner, where they frequently rest and invite people to visit with them. Watching them walk, it became clear that this was not a slow procession in the way many might imagine, but a steady, disciplined rhythm sustained day after day.

They have continued walking through all conditions. Snow, sleet, freezing rain, bitter cold. Weather that would normally send most of us indoors. Their commitment has not wavered.

Accompanying them is their loyal dog, Aloka. Earlier in the journey, Aloka required surgery and special care. While he no longer walks the full distance alongside them, he remains very much part of the journey. He rides along during the day and is with them each night, cared for and included as a constant presence.

During their lunch-time visit, one of the monks spoke briefly. There was no elaborate teaching and no attempt to persuade. Instead, there was a gentle invitation to notice our breath, to notice our inner state, and to recognize how rarely we allow ourselves to fully arrive in the moment we are already in.

Standing there, listening, I became aware of how much effort my own body had been carrying. Not dramatic tension, but a constant subtle holding. The presence of the monks, the steadiness of their pace, and the simplicity of their message made that effort visible in a way I hadn’t noticed before.

What struck me most was how little needed to be said.

In a world saturated with explanation, urgency, and noise, this felt different. Peace was not presented as an idea or a goal, but as something lived. Something expressed through consistency, endurance, and presence. Through walking. Through stopping. Through continuing on, regardless of conditions.

I left feeling quieter inside. Not changed in any dramatic way, but gently recalibrated. As though something essential had been remembered rather than learned.

In a message shared on the Walk for Peace Facebook page, the following blessing was offered:

“May our footsteps remind you of the light that has always lived within you—the peace that darkness tried to hide but could never extinguish.
May that peace rise gently now, like dawn breaking, dispelling every shadow and filling the empty places with warmth, with hope, and with the remembrance that you have always been whole.

May you and all beings be well, happy and at peace.”

The Numerology of 2026

Universal Year 1
Once again, it’s time to look at the year ahead. Each year, I like to explore the numerology of the upcoming year both on a personal level and from a broader, collective perspective.

Looking back, 2025 was a 9 year, a year of completion, release, and transformation. For many, it was a time of clearing old patterns, relationships, and ways of being that had reached their natural conclusion. A 9 year often brings emotional processing, reflection, and the sense that one chapter is closing so another can eventually begin.
How did 2025 feel for you?

Did you notice endings, transitions, or a need to let go showing up in your life? I saw many clients, friends, and colleagues navigating change, finishing long cycles, and preparing for something new even if they were not quite sure what that “new” was yet.

That brings us to 2026.

The Numerology of 2026

The year 2026 is calculated as:

2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10, which reduces to 1.

This makes 2026 a 10/1 Universal Year.

A 1 year marks the beginning of an entirely new nine-year cycle. It is about new beginnings, independence, initiative, leadership, and forward movement. While the number 10 carries the amplified energy of completion and potential, the reduced number 1 brings the focus to action and creation.

Collectively, 2026 is a year where new ideas emerge, new paths are chosen, and fresh identities begin to form. It is not a year to wait. It is a year to step forward, even if the path is not yet fully visible.

This is the year where intentions matter. What you start in a 1 year sets the tone for the entire nine-year cycle that follows.

Keep in mind, this Universal Year energy applies to the world as a whole. You also have your own Personal Year Number, which adds another layer to how this energy will show up for you individually.

Calculating Your Personal Year Number

To calculate your Personal Year Number for 2026, follow these steps:

Step 1
Add your birth month, birth day, and the year 2026 together.
For example, if your birthday is March 5:
3 + 5 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 18

Step 2
Reduce to a single digit:
1 + 8 = 9

In this example, the Personal Year Number would be 9.

Both Universal Years and Personal Years move in a repeating nine-year cycle. A 1 year is a year of beginnings, while a 9 year is a year of endings. Each year in the cycle has its own themes, challenges, and opportunities. When you understand the energy of your year and work with it rather than against it, life tends to flow more smoothly.

It’s also worth noting that some people experience the shift into their Personal Year on their birthday rather than on January 1. In general, those born earlier in the year, typically from January through June, often feel their Personal Year energy begin in January. Those born in the second half of the year, especially from September through December, may notice their Personal Year themes begin closer to their birthday. This is not a strict rule, but an observation that helps explain why some people feel their new year energy sooner or later than expected.

Below are the main themes for each Personal Year Number. If your Personal Year is also a 1, you may feel the energy of 2026 more strongly and more immediately.

Personal Year Themes

1 – New Beginnings, Independence, Action
This is a year of fresh starts and personal empowerment. It is an excellent time to begin something new, whether that is a career direction, business idea, relationship, relocation, or personal identity shift. The energy of a 1 year encourages initiative and leadership. Trust your instincts and be willing to take calculated risks. What you start now has long-term impact. Early in the year, clarity may come slowly, but by midyear you will feel more confident moving forward.

2 – Relationships, Balance, Cooperation
A 2 year focuses on relationships, emotional awareness, and balance. This is a year of learning patience, diplomacy, and collaboration. It often brings a need to strengthen your relationship with yourself first so you can show up more fully in relationships with others. Sensitivity may be heightened, so self-care and emotional boundaries are important. Progress comes through cooperation rather than force.

3 – Communication, Creativity, Self-Expression
The energy of a 3 year supports creativity, communication, and joy. This is a good year for writing, speaking, teaching, artistic projects, and social connection. Emotional expression is emphasized, so make space for both play and rest. Focus on finishing what you start and staying organized so scattered energy does not lead to burnout.

4 – Structure, Effort, Stability
A 4 year is about building solid foundations. Hard work, planning, and discipline are required, but the rewards come through long-term stability. This is a year to focus on finances, health, home, and systems that support your future. It may not feel fast-moving, but the effort you put in now creates security in the years ahead.

5 – Change, Freedom, Movement
This is a year of change, expansion, and adaptability. Travel, new experiences, and unexpected opportunities may arise. Flexibility is key, as plans may shift quickly. While the energy is exciting, grounding yourself and avoiding overcommitment will help you make the most of this dynamic year.

6 – Responsibility, Family, Service
A 6 year centers around home, family, and responsibility. Relationships may require more attention, and you may find yourself caring for others or taking on greater commitments. This is also a powerful year for healers, caregivers, and those in service-based work. Balance caring for others with caring for yourself.

7 – Introspection, Spiritual Growth
The 7 year is a quieter, more inward-focused year. Reflection, study, and spiritual exploration are highlighted. You may feel drawn to learning, retreating, or simplifying your life. This is not the year to push outward aggressively. Instead, it is a time to deepen understanding and prepare for future action.

8 – Power, Career, Abundance
An 8 year emphasizes career, finances, and personal authority. It is a powerful manifestation year when aligned with integrity and clarity. Leadership opportunities may arise, and financial matters come into focus. This year rewards responsibility, discipline, and ethical action.

9 – Completion, Release, Transformation
A 9 year brings endings, closure, and emotional processing. It is time to let go of what no longer aligns with who you are becoming. Compassion and forgiveness are key themes. This year prepares you for a fresh start in the following cycle, so allow space for completion rather than forcing new beginnings.

Master Numbers: 11/2 and 22/4

In numerology, 11 and 22 are considered Master Numbers. They carry intensified energy and expanded potential beyond their reduced forms. While they can be read as 11/2 and 22/4, these years often indicate heightened sensitivity, responsibility, and opportunity for growth. Not everyone will experience a Master Number year, but when they do, it can be significant.

11/2 – Illumination, Inspiration, Personal Growth
An 11/2 Personal Year carries the themes of a 2 year, such as relationships, balance, and emotional awareness, while adding heightened intuition and spiritual insight. This is a year of inspiration and inner growth, often calling you to trust your guidance and take a leap of faith. Sensitivity is increased, making it important to manage self-doubt and stay grounded. When lived with integrity and authenticity, this year supports personal awakening and the ability to inspire others in meaningful ways.

22/4 – Accomplishment, Commitment, Purposeful Growth
A 22/4 Personal Year combines the structure and discipline of a 4 year with expanded potential to create something meaningful and lasting. This is a powerful year for turning ideas into tangible results through focus, responsibility, and practical action. You may feel called to build or contribute in ways that serve a greater purpose. Staying grounded and emotionally balanced supports steady progress, with themes of maturity, self-confidence, and wisdom guiding long-term accomplishment.

When the Year Clears What Was Hidden

Your quiet path toward integration

Integrating the Energy of 2025 as We Move Toward 2026

For many, 2025 has been a difficult year.

Not always in obvious ways, and not always in ways that made sense at the time.

As the year comes to a close, a common theme I keep hearing and witnessing is this: things that were deeply buried have come to the surface. Old emotions. Old memories. Longstanding patterns. Reactions that felt bigger than the present moment alone could explain.

If that has been your experience, you are not alone. And you are not imagining it.

This year has carried a strong clearing energy, especially in its final months. A kind of energetic reckoning that did not ask for perfection or positivity, but for honesty and presence.

2025 as a Year of Deep Clearing

Some years invite expansion and forward motion.

Others ask for something quieter and more demanding.

2025 has been one of those years that worked beneath the surface.

Rather than offering quick answers or clean transitions, it brought awareness to what had been unresolved. Many people found themselves revisiting old chapters they thought were finished, or encountering emotional responses that felt out of proportion to what was happening in the present.

This was not about going backward. It was about completion.

Clearing years tend to remove what can no longer be carried forward. They highlight what has been stored, avoided, or quietly tolerated for too long. While that process can be uncomfortable, it is often a sign that something is finally ready to be released.

Why So Much Surfaced at Once

What remains buried takes energy to hold in place.

When the system senses enough safety, support, or readiness, those layers begin to rise. Not to punish, but to complete.

For many, this year brought moments of sudden clarity alongside emotional overwhelm. Insights arrived without warning. Old grief resurfaced. Longstanding patterns became impossible to ignore.

This surfacing does not mean something went wrong. It often means that the body, the mind, and the deeper self recognized that the time was right.
Healing rarely unfolds in a straight line. Awareness often comes before relief. And release does not always feel light at first.

The Emotional and Physical Impact of Clearing

Years like this can be tiring in ways that are hard to explain.

You may have noticed fatigue, emotional sensitivity, irritability, or a sense of being in between. Some people experienced old symptoms briefly reappearing or felt unmotivated by things that once mattered deeply.

This does not mean you are stuck. It means your system has been processing at a deeper level.

The nervous system plays a significant role in how clearing is experienced. When long held material comes up, rest becomes just as important as insight. Integration matters more than analysis.

What This Year Has Been Moving Us Toward

While 2025 has been challenging, it has also been clarifying.

Many people now have a stronger sense of what no longer works. Less tolerance for misalignment. A deeper awareness of their own limits, needs, and inner truth.

This kind of clarity does not always arrive with excitement. Sometimes it arrives quietly, through contrast and discomfort.

But it creates a different foundation going forward. One built on honesty rather than obligation. Presence rather than pressure.

The Final Days of the Year

The last days of a clearing year are not meant for pushing or fixing.

What helps most right now is simplicity.

Gentle reflection rather than deep analysis. Allowing emotions to move without demanding answers. Supporting the body and nervous system through rest, grounding, and quiet moments.

Helpful ways to close the year may include:
  • Taking slow walks or spending time in nature
  • Journaling without prompts or goals
  • Gentle meditation or energy work
  • Creating space instead of filling it

What tends to be less supportive right now:
  • Forcing closure conversations
  • Overplanning the new year
  • Declaring intentions before things have settled
  • Judging yourself for not feeling ready

Not every year ends with clarity or celebration. Some simply ask to be allowed to finish.

Completing the Year Without Forcing Meaning

Completion does not always feel satisfying.

Sometimes it feels unfinished, quiet, or unresolved. That does not mean something is missing. It means integration is still underway.

You do not need to understand everything that surfaced this year before moving forward. Trust that what has already been released no longer needs your attention in the same way.

As we move toward 2026, the invitation is not to rush into the next chapter, but to let what has shifted settle into place.

There is wisdom in allowing the year to end exactly as it is.

Choose BQH when you prefer to:
  • explore deep regression and higher guidance from home
  • experience a session in a setting that feels safe and comfortable

Combining Sessions: A Supportive and Transformative Approach

Many people find that combining sessions creates powerful, long-lasting results. Each modality works in a different way, and using them together supports deeper clarity, release, and integration.

You may choose to combine:
  • Energy Healing before QHHT, BQH, or Past Life Regression
Helps calm the nervous system and prepare your energy system for a deeper experience.
  • Energy Healing after QHHT, BQH, or Past Life Regression
Supports grounding, emotional processing, and smoother integration.
  • Regression followed by periodic Energy Healing sessions
Helps maintain clarity and continued progress over time.

Combination work is especially helpful during big life transitions or moments when you feel a shift beginning to unfold.

If More Than One Session Resonates

It is completely normal to feel drawn to more than one option. Here is a simple way to narrow your choice:
  • For guidance, answers, or deep understanding, choose QHHT or BQH.
  • For clarity around patterns, choose Past Life Regression.
  • For relief, grounding, or support, choose Energy Healing.
  • For the deepest experience, choose QHHT.
  • For a powerful online option, choose BQH.

Often, your intuition will point you in the right direction as you read.

A Helpful Next Step
