The Meaning Behind Blueskyes Journey

A Name with a Story

People often ask me where the name Blueskyes Journey comes from. The truth is, it is more than just a name. It is a reflection of my own path and the vision I hold for those who are on their own journeys and choose to work with me.

Back several decades ago, after coming through difficult personal times, I made the decision to change how I approached life. I wasn’t going to dwell on what I had walked through but instead look toward the future in front of me. As I thought about it, the phrase “nothing but blue skies” popped into my head. From that moment forward, I decided my life was going to be nothing but blue skies. It became a goal, a new direction, and a positive way forward.

In my personal life I adopted the blue skies mentality, even choosing email addresses and online profiles that carried that name. Since “blueskies” was already taken, I became “blueskyes,” which added my own unique touch and meaning.

The Journey Behind the Name

When it came time to choose a business name, I looked back at my life and knew I wanted to bring those blue skies to other people as well. I thought about the path I had walked since embracing that mantra and saw the journey that had carried me here. Each step along the way led me to the moment I decided I wanted to serve others through my work.

My spiritual journey truly began in 2012. I threw myself into it wholeheartedly, reading everything I could find, attending webinars and trainings, and visiting fairs. Back then, it was not easy to find like-minded people, classes, or services to support spiritual growth.

Coming from a science background, all of this was very new to me. I didn’t know where to begin, what to look for, or even what questions to ask. Over time, I realized there were many others in the same place. They were ready to grow and explore but didn’t know how to go about it. Many of us were still in the “spiritual closet,” devouring information quietly because we couldn’t yet share it with friends or family. We were all on our own unique journeys.

As I grew, I began to see that I could help others on their journey to their own blue skies, journeys of healing, energetic balance, and spiritual discovery. That is how the name came to be.

A Name That Can Grow

​Along the way, some people suggested I choose a more obvious name, something like “Reiki with Deanna.” But that felt too confining. Even then, I sensed that my business would grow and evolve as I continued to grow myself. Blueskyes Journey became the perfect name because it allows me to support people wherever they are on their path, from healing to soul discovery to learning through classes and trainings.
