Energy Healing Explained: A Guide for Beginners

​Energy Healing is a holistic practice that works with Divine or Universal Energy to restore balance in the mind, body, and spirit. While there are many different modalities, they all share the same goal: helping the body access the energy it needs to heal itself.

At Blueskyes Journey, I specialize in Reiki and Archangelic Light Healing and tailor each session to meet the unique needs of my clients. In this guide, we’ll explore what Energy Healing is, how it works, and what you can expect from a session.

What is Energy Healing?


​Energy Healing is based on the idea that energy flows through and around us. Stress, trauma, and daily life can create blockages or depletion in this energy flow, leading to imbalances in our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Think of your body like a car battery that is running low on energy. Energy Healing acts as a "jumper cable"—bringing Divine or Universal energy into the body, much like jump-starting a car battery, so the body can use it to restore balance and heal.

This process isn’t tied to any one belief system and can benefit anyone seeking greater well-being.

Types of Energy Healing Modalities


There are many different forms of Energy Healing, each working with Divine/Universal energy in its own unique way. While numerous modalities exist, here are the ones I incorporate in my practice:

  • Reiki – A well-known technique that channels universal life force energy through the practitioner’s hands to promote deep relaxation and healing. Learn more about Reiki

  • Crystals & Sound Therapy – While my primary focus is Reiki and Archangelic Light Healing, I also use crystals and sound therapy as appropriate to enhance energy flow and amplify healing.

Energy Healing encompasses many different approaches, and I tailor each session to the client’s unique needs.

How Energy Healing Works


The body is naturally designed to heal itself, but when energy is blocked or depleted, it can struggle to do so. Energy Healing restores the flow of energy, allowing the body to regain balance and function optimally.

During a session, I act as a channel for Divine/Universal energy, directing it where it's needed most to help clear blockages, restore harmony, and encourage self-healing.

What to Expect in an Energy Healing Session 


Each session is a deeply relaxing and individualized experience.

  • Before the session: We discuss any concerns or areas of focus to tailor the experience to your needs.
 
  • During the session: You relax as healing energy flows to you—this may include light touch (for Reiki), visualization (for Archangelic Light Healing), or additional tools like crystals and sound therapy when appropriate.
 
  • After the session: Many clients report feeling lighter, deeply relaxed, or even noticing shifts in their physical or emotional state.

If you’ve been curious about Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) or Beyond Quantum Healing (BQH) but aren’t sure what to expect, you’re not alone. These powerful regression therapy methods offer deep healing, clarity, and transformation. Understanding the process can help you feel at ease and get the most out of your session.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to walk you through what happens in a QHHT or BQH session.

Step 1: Preparing for Your Session


​Before your session, take time to reflect on the guidance you seek. As part of your preparation, you’ll write down your questions about life purpose, health, relationships, personal challenges, or any other areas where you want insight.

These questions are sent to me ahead of time so I can review them and ensure we get the most out of our time together.

For BQH sessions (conducted online), set up a quiet, comfortable space with:
  • A stable internet connection
  • Headphones
  • A private setting free from distractions

​For QHHT sessions (always in person), no special setup is needed—just bring an open mind and be ready for a deeply insightful experience.

Step 2: The Pre-Session Conversation


Your session begins with a relaxed conversation where we’ll discuss:
  • Your background, personal experiences, and life themes
  • The questions you’ve prepared and sent ahead of time
  • What you hope to gain from the session

This conversation allows me to get to know you so that I can be the best possible facilitator, guiding you toward the insights you need. It’s also an opportunity for you to feel comfortable with me and my energy, ensuring a sense of ease before we begin.

Step 3: Entering a Deep Relaxation 


QHHT and BQH use gentle relaxation techniques to guide you into a deep but natural hypnotic state. This is very similar to meditation or the feeling just before falling asleep—completely safe and peaceful.

You remain aware and in control the entire time, simply accessing a more relaxed state where your Higher Self can communicate freely.

Step 4: Exploring a Past Life or Other Experiences

Your Higher Self will guide you to the most relevant experience for your healing and growth. This could be:
  • A past life
  • A parallel life
  • A symbolic journey
  • Another experience that holds meaning for you

​I’ll gently guide you with questions to help you describe what you see, feel, and experience. Every session is unique, and your Higher Self will always take you where you need to go.

Step 5: Connecting with Your Higher Self


​After exploring your past life (or other significant experience), we’ll connect with your Higher Self—the wise, all-knowing part of you that understands your soul’s journey.

This is when we’ll ask the questions you prepared and sent ahead of time and receive profound insights, guidance, and even energetic healing. Many people experience spontaneous shifts, emotional breakthroughs, or even physical healing as their Higher Self works to restore balance.

Step 6: Returning to Full Awareness


When your session is complete, I’ll gently guide you back to full wakefulness. Many clients describe feeling:
  • Refreshed and deeply relaxed
  • Lighter, as if a weight has been lifted
  • More aligned with their true self

​We’ll take a few moments to discuss what you remember and how you’re feeling before wrapping up.

Step 7: Post-Session Integration


All clients receive a recording of their session, allowing them to revisit the insights and guidance they received. Many find that re-listening brings even deeper understanding over time.

A post-session integration call is included with your session. This optional 30-minute Zoom or phone call provides a space to:
  • Ask any follow-up questions
  • Discuss your experience
  • Receive guidance on integrating your insights into daily life

If you choose to schedule this follow-up, you can do so at your convenience after your session.

Example Questions to Ask Your Higher Self in a QHHT or BQH Session

When you step into a Quantum Healing Hypnosis (QHHT or BQH) session, you’re opening the door to deep wisdom and insight from your Higher Self, the part of you that sees beyond everyday worries and understands the bigger picture. Whether you’re seeking clarity about your life path, emotional healing, physical symptoms, relationships, repeating patterns, or spiritual growth, asking thoughtful questions can help you receive deeper understanding and meaningful guidance.

The questions you bring do not need to be limited to spiritual topics. Some of the most powerful questions come directly from your everyday life, the struggles, emotions, situations, and patterns you genuinely want to understand or heal. You are encouraged to include personal questions that feel important, emotionally meaningful, or connected to areas where you feel stuck, confused, challenged, or ready for change.

In general, the most helpful questions are open-ended rather than simple yes-or-no questions. Questions that begin with “what,” “why,” or “how” often lead to deeper insight and understanding. It can also help to focus on healing, growth, clarity, and root causes rather than trying to predict the future. Be emotionally honest and specific about what you truly want to understand, and prioritize the questions that matter most to you. If several questions overlap, they can often be combined into one deeper question.

Preparing for Your QHHT or BQH Session


These questions are simply meant to inspire and help you begin thinking about what feels most important to you right now. You do not need to have perfect questions or know exactly how to phrase everything before your session. Some of the most meaningful insights come from the real-life questions, emotions, challenges, and experiences that genuinely matter to you.

As you prepare, focus on the areas of your life where you are seeking greater understanding, healing, clarity, direction, or peace. The more honest and open you are with yourself about what you truly want to understand, the more meaningful and personal the experience often becomes.

Many clients find it helpful to write down their questions ahead of time and prioritize the ones that feel most important. During your session, additional questions or insights may naturally arise as well.
